Creedence Clearwater Revival Featuring John Fogerty – Chronicle - The 20 Greatest Hits

The sound is quite odd. It seems like there is a constant echo throughout most songs. Weird listening experience, hence the three-star rating.

All amazing songs, definitely recommend buying this. 10/10 album compliation!!!

Having just hooked up a turntable for the first time in many many years, I remembered some old LPs that my brother picked up at auction that were languishing in my garage. I've just put this album on, and considering it's nearly 50 years old there's virtually no hisses or crackles, it plays impecibally. The other discs are all Elvis albums from the 60s, i'm not so hopeful that they'll be in the same condition!

Received this as part of the Amazon 'Record of the Month Club'. I probably would have never purchased it on my own since I usually avoid 'greatest hits' records. My copy sound pretty good. It's flat and mostly silent wax. I have a couple CCR cd's and it does sound much better that those but I'd love to hear the modern professionals get their hands on some master tapes for this band. I'm glad I have it most of my collection is fairly eclectic so good to have recognizable ear candy to play for company.

I don't understand the previous reviews. The records sound very good. The pressing is good too.

Is there anyone else who owns this German press and finds cracking sounds on some tracks? For example A3 and minimally A4, or B5 or C3? It is as if the left channel has been hacked in a noisy way ... or maybe my copy is, unluckily, faulty :-(
There are just light scuffs on vinyl surfaces, they don't appear to be the cause, because the music's reproduction goes continuously, it's just like "disturbed" on one channel... difficult to describe with words... anyway, just for my curiosity. Of course, my turntable, amplifiers and speakers are working perfectly.

My version runs into the label. It doesn't stop at the runout.

Can anyone tell me how this sounds?
I got another CCR record at Wal-Mart (where this one is also available) & it was very noisy even after cleaning it. I clean ALL my records, even brand new ones.

Brown label with orange text on lower label with the 'eyebrows and eyes' pressing. Sound is generally very good, I don't have any of their original albums, but this compilation does sound pretty '60's and 70's classic rock vinyl music. The first 2 tracks actually sound awesome, full range, airiness, details, and those are from their earlier 1968 album, the rest of the tracks from newer releases actually lose that magic and fullness, but still overall pretty nice.

Got this one off Amazon with next day shipping, seems like a less-common pressing; black vinyl, no surface noise! Pretty significant dish warp, probably too-tight shrink wrap? Doesn't affect play, makes it feel like a well-aged record I guess? Plays great, awesome song list!
