Librae Solidi Denari , This sounds like a new order song but i can't think which one.referencing Boss Drum (LP, Album) TPLP42
The Shamen do LSD pop, or something :D.
If you already listened to early Shamen from around 1989 this will make sense. A mixture of the Shamen's punk origins mixed in with the techo-shamen vibe. Just when things might get too serious we have the full blown "Shamen go Teletubbies on E's" Ebeneezer Goode :P which somehow encapsulated the youthful spirit of rave going up against absurd establishment crusties. Just laugh at them. Humour is kryptonite to them. However, after that, for people about to throw the release in the bin, we come back full force with the full blown trip out of Re:Evolution which is probably the ultimate memorial to the genius that was Terrence McKenna.referencing Boss Drum (LP, Album) TPLP42
I have to say I’m very surprised to see negative comments here. I bought this in 1992 and liked it, got a vinyl copy a few years ago and loved it even more! I’m here now to replace my current vinyl. Comin on, scientas, librae solidi danari and re-evolution are absolute masterpieces. This is a great album and Mr C is a legend!referencing Boss Drum (LP, Album) TPLP42
I would have to agree with the arrow down comments on this record. It wasn't good when it was released and after another listen 30 years later, it's just awful. After En-tact, how could Colin put this mess of a release out? Exit Wil Sin, Enter Mr C maybe?referencing Boss Drum (LP, Album) TPLP42
Bought the album back in the days on CD, later found a vinyl issue... listening to this now (being wake a while longer than weekdays) via sony-mdr v700 headphones & a allen & heath mixer at upper loudness... i don't remember it blowing my roof off back then as it does now so i can say amazingly produced. Love it!referencing Boss Drum (LP, Album) TPLP42
God this has aged terribly bad. Compare it to contemporary acts such as The KLF and you'll notice how bad this has aged in comparison.referencing Boss Drum (CD, Album, Stereo) TPLP42CD
Not aged well, has it? Only 2 things that aren't super-cringe here. 'Scientas' has something going for it in an ambient/chillout way, while 'Phorever Dub' is a decent summary of the more palatable electronic sounds of the early 90s.- Edited 2 years ago

At the time of release in 1992 I couldn't stand the album, due to oversaturation in every media channel then. Revisiting the album now that it turns 30, I must admit that it is rather pleasant. It was like the Leftism of '92. Strip away all the rap vocals to reveal gated funky progressive house.
Re:Evolution is the song I can't gel with even after 30 years. The addition of Terence McKenna (RIP) turns an OK ambient downtempo song into some sort of self-help tape you just want to bin. referencing Boss Drum (2×LP, Album, Reissue) TPLP42DMM
Cut a lot hotter than the original. But I guess you expect that from a double 33rpm.referencing Boss Drum (2×LP, Album, Limited Edition, Numbered, Reissue, Remastered, 200 gram) TPLP42DMM
So strong, they keep comin’ on (four more words needed)
