My experience with GZ pressings lately has been positive, including picking up this release at my local. The only thing I dislike about GZ pressings are the nasty paper sleeves. Otherwise, discs look very good, flat, and the album sounds great. I enjoy this pressing over my CD and digital files. Sounds really warm and wide. Nice smooth bass. The samples really shine, I'm really impressed. I wouldn't mind paying an extra 5-6 bucks retail price for a bargain poly sleeve inner, the paper has got to go. I think GZ has gotten much better at pressing without surface noise and limiting defects but this is just based on my anecdotal data.

Picked this up at my local shop for $19. Records were really dirty, but cleaned up nicely after a a go through the record cleaner. Flat vinyl, no defects. There's lots of artificial surface noise on this record for those unaware. Well worth the money spent.

Comparing this RP with the og 1st pressing, sounds a little louder and high frequencies do too. Somehow unbalanced in that matter, but still sounds great overall.

This og 1st press audio quality, compared to the version with matrix s-61816/17/18/19, sounds perfectly balanced, considering the grime on some tracks due to Madlib's production nature, the piece is perfectly mixed and mastered making it a sonic experience worth experiencing.

Where is "Welcome To Violence", "Microphone Mathematics", "Low Class Conspiracy", "Return Of The Loop Digga" and "Come On Feet"?

This OG first pressing cover only has the NGA and Stones Throw logos on the back, barcode on bottom right, spine has text on different areas and fonts compared to the next represses, and is printed on white cardboard. A and C sides are on the ST Logo label side, which is unusual to regular ST releases.

Don’t buy here for $50. Stonesthrow.com has them for $28.

Sounds OK but not an amazing pressing. Obviously Madlib's samples can give the impression of more surface noise and crackle than there really is, but equally my copy came straight out of the shrink looking pretty grubby and with quite a lot of scuffs and marks on the surfaces of both discs.

What a gem! A new favourite for me. No regrets.

No issues with the vinyl. Absolute classic early Madlib that was simply made for vinyl as with pretty much all underground hip hop releases. My CD copy really doesn't compare. I would not give any credence to those saying that there are issues with the pressing. This one sounds NICE on wax. Can't see how it can get any better.
