George Harrison – Living In The Material World

Does anyone know when a 2024 superdeluxe vinyl Living in the material world Japanese version will be issued? I've heard that the bluray in the non Japanese superdeluxe isn't compatible with the Japanese format, so the non Japanese superdeluxe isn't being sold in Japan. The Japanese issued their versions of the 2021 All things must pass in 2021.

What an absolute joy to listen to. Minimun surface noise, arrived totally perfectly, beautiful pressing. Drums sound punchy but do not overpower the mix, crank it up and enjoy!

For starters, this vinyl is not purple but crimson, why it's being touted as purple is beyond me.
Secondly my copy arrived damaged with what appeared to be white specks on the surface of tracks one & two on side two which I found to be embedded in the vinyl itself, causing a repeated clicking when I played the tracks. There was also a black splodge of what looked like black vinyl embedded in track five. Obviously this has occurred during the pressing stage. This is extremely poor quality control at the pressing plant.
I have requested a replacement from the GH website.

I guess I am lucky as my set arrived with 2 minty records that sound nice and quiet, and I didn't even clean them! Both CD's were in their 'pockets' and also look nice and minty. All around a very nice set. Packing could've been better, but luckily there was no damage.

Definitely sounds like there is some confusion on where this is pressed. Many people pointing out their copy was made in Czech Republic at GZ while the runouts and photos show a version pressed at Record Industry in the Netherlands. There are probably two versions of this.

I am watching the price and amount of these B&N Orange vinyl variation here on Discogs. Somebody else mentioned that when they went buy it at their Barnes & Noble, there was only one copy.

I had the same experience at my location. Is this a Short Printed version? I don't like to speculate, but the GH Website Purple variet has over twice the amount of owners here on Discogs. I own both, and awaiting the SDE Boxset and I will have all three. I thought Amazon had a clear version, but Discogs doesn't list it and Amazon doesn't show it for sale? A lot of strangeness or mystery with this reissue. Anybody have any thoughts?

Regarding the box: Both LPs had pressing problems. There can clearly be seen flaws on the 1st LP with the regular album. The 2nd LP looks fine, although there are some relatively loud pops. I have now ordered a replacement for the box. The box itself isn't cheap, so the quality control should be better. Maybe the problem was that GZ pressed these records.

I am having irritating quality control with this set, specifically with the CDs. First set I got had the CDs loose in the sleeve and as a result, they were scratched. Replacement set came. CDs were held firmly in their slots but were still scratched. I'm hoping third time is the charm. Looking at the records, those in the second/replacement set had minor examples of sleeve rash and very light scratches.

Just a comment: I saw a video from the Harrison estate. In a brief moment you can see that the newly pressed vinyl slips directly into the sleeve. Have someone banged in the table or someone at GZ to collide a few brain waves. It’s working. Again I must say it’s clean and in perfect cover.
