The Pharcyde – Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde

As many have already stated, this press contains a LOT of surface noise for a brand new record on pretty much all sides. Multiple cleans via ultrasonic, spin clean and vacuum only minimized the surface noise slightly. Looking for a pressing that doesn't suffer from these same problems. I can live with a few defects, but this is far too many for a brand new record. The fact that they still seem to be pressing these defective copies is even more troublesome.

I have to say i was hesitant after all the negative reviews, but I really wanted one so I pulled the trigger and have to say mine sounds just fine. The purple & yellow sparkle (more like smoke) looks very cool, pressing is nice and quiet. Took down 1 star because it’s weirdly expensive. Oh and Slimkid3, Imani and Fatlip signed my copy today so even happier I got it.

I would have to agree with a few others. Album one is a bit off center and both albums are a bit “scratchy” right out the pack. Not the pressing sadly enough 🙃

Not sure what others are stating. After a Ultrasonic cleaning, right out the package, it's quiet as can be. A perfect album, though the price at Newbury was more expensive than Discogs sellers; I have a feeling the cheaper prices at DC might be for subpar conditioned albums. Both disc's are perfect for me, sound and spindle holes.

Mine has some pretty horrible pressing distortion on Passing Me By. Which is a huge shame for such an amazing track. Just a huge loud scraping noise. Maybe IGD, but it's not consistent.

In 35 years of buying records this LP is the most I've ever paid for a new LP and it's the only new LP I've returned due to the terrible quality of the pressing. It has really bad dish warping on LP 2, the spindle hole is tiny, off centre and has really bad surface noise throughout both records. Really disappointed as I was really excited to get this on vinyl despite the high price. I usually can live with a few defects, but this is less than acceptable.

I got this as a USA import to the UK. almost double the cost to what the us citizens seem to have paid, but it's worth it. It's not very often this record gets pressed. Despite what some have said, I think this record sounds fantastic. The splatter effect is mostly the yellow and there's noticeably less of the purple. Either way the record looks great. Would have been nice to have this as a gatefold considering it's over two records. Overall, I'm impressed and it's good to finally have this on vinyl after years of wanting it.

This pressing is definitely worth seeking out. I haven't heard the newer represses or the newest RSD release, but this version sounds incredible.

Im confused as to why people are talking about a censored version of Passing Me By. There are no curses in the track to being with. The only thing that comes close is "She could be my broad and I could be her -----" but the word is never said in any version outside of an unreleased version you can find on YouTube. The real question Is if the rest of the album is censored.
