Jon Hopkins – Immunity

As soon as I saw this was getting a new vinyl release, I didn't hesitate. Amazing album, and the vinyl sounds warm and delicate. Very happy with it.

How does this pressing sound to you? Ten words needed.

Easily the best sounding record I own. Feels like a whole new album. Incredible sound — the bass is dynamic and really pops out of the speakers. Every time I turn this on, I just need to get up and dance. A little static in LP2 but otherwise this is fantastic. Mandatory listening if you are a fan of this album.

I've bought this pressing twice now from two different sellers, one of whom is in the US and one in the UK. Both had 3+ significant skips after a deep clean with a groovewasher. These skips occurred across both LPs in both cases. Annoyingly, it always skips backwards so I can't just ignore it during playback. It seems like the skips come out with great effort in cleaning, but it's still disappointing to see from a brand new record. I'll give it 2 instead of 1 stars for otherwise being a great pressing in terms of noise and dynamics.

This is absolutely insane. The bass is out of this world and this pressing is so dynamic, it's crazy good. Not even close from the spotify sound quality, it's a whole new album. No scratch, dead silent, clean, no warp... perfect! Pressing is 10/10.
