referencing World's Edge (2×CD, Album, Repress) 18057-2
A must for Roach fans. Worth owning for two reasons disc 1 has a track where he has a guest tabla player from Canada the music is sparse as you would expect only it sound's quite different and not as developed as his later 90s tribal percussive compositions. Its interesting to listen to World Edge because is sounds very creative and yet transitionary in the history of his catalog of recordings.
Disc 2 has the penultimate quiet ambient epic with reverberated gong think Thomas Koner Permafrost with silk laden ambient washes of sampled voices in the distance. Disc 2 is a precursor to what would later become Dream Circle.
This is a highly underrated release still early in his career thats worth checking out and trust me I am NOT a fan of all his output but there are a good dozen releases I highly recommend in his catalog including his very early releases like NOW/TRAVELER and EMPETUS.
