Jimi Hendrix – Crash Landing

Paper sleeve on my copy says 8/87 for this issue

Opinion: This is very likely a 1980 repressing [based upon "Loose Ends" 1980 repressing by Polydor, W. Germany,
with catalog # 2459 393]

As I bought this original vinyl back in 1975 as a teenager I can confirm that my UK 1st pressing did NOT have any poster or insert at all.
I saw a similar poster thing with a Russian seller offering a so called first pressing of Rainbow Rising saying comes with original poster. Well I am now old enough to remember buying some of these albums the day they were first released and Rainbow Rising again did not come with any poster. So I emailed Sergei in Russia and told him he was telling porkies. To which he responded that it was only a record store promo poster that he was including as an extra.
So maybe that's all this Hendrix thing is ?
But I do know from actually being there that there was no poster with this brilliant album, sorry but no there wasn't !

I had this on vinyl back in 75 when it first came out and it didn't have a poster in it or it would have been on my wall, kids.

Hello, i've got a release of this LP with some differences. Same matrix / runout but little variations on the sticker on the vinyl : text of the tracklist and date 1978.

I am also a Hendrix collector and I had never heard of a poster before either. There is no mention of a large poster coming with the original/first US pressing of this release in the most recent (7th edition) of the Goldmine Record Album Price Guide. Nor is there any mention of a large poster on the four 1975 vinyl releases of this album on the site www.rateyourmusic.com. Tonight (6/27/14) on eBay, there are 72 vinyl copies of Crash Landing up for auction. Not one of them mentions a poster, although two copies are Japanese, and the seller mentions an "insert" that looks to me like just a lyric sheet in Japanese. One other seller has a Japanese copy of the record and mentions a "booklet." Can you provide a picture of the poster you say came with the first pressing of this album? Can the contributors to this entry provide any references that state this LP came with a large poster in its first US pressing? I'm a Hendrix collector, and I would like to know if your information is accurate or not. Thanks.
