Reviews
- Edited one month agoJust to update. This pressing is a limited edition of only 878 - information from Shpongle's Bandcamp page
- I'm based in the United States. Willing to pay International shipping for this boxset. Message me if you will ship to the United States.
- Great, but there's enough praise in other reviews and I have some very light criticisms. The text on the ribbon pull is embossed with some soft plastic material, and can easily damage the edges of the printed inner sleeves when pulling them out if you're not careful. The felt-padded box also arrived slightly torn on a corner, despite insanely good packaging, so that's apparently easy to do with enough pressure. Avoid those pitfalls when caring for it.
- What a gorgeous release of an album...
Where to start? With the holo foiled outer box that opens with a magnetic clasp?
Next there's the inside of the shell, lined with a black velvety structure that features the album artwork as well.
There's a nice, plastisol printed ribbon to lift out the three discs, each housed in neon-y coloured sleeves (and poly lined inner sleeves). Behind the three discs there is a sheet of blotted paper featuring the album artwork (ready for 900... um.. excuses into the unconsciousness if you have something to dip onto) and a round, holographic sticker of the album artwork.
The third disc has holograms all over one side, which looks insanely good.
I've only listened to disc one so far and find it to be beautifully sounding. Very rich and dynamic, underplayed with thumping bass sounds... imho this album shines on vinyl.
On a side note, the discs were very clean, something that has become a rarity with modern releases.
Overall this is a 5/5. - This is by far one of the most beautiful box sets I have in my collection now. I'm beyond impressed at how nice it was displayed. Everything about it including the felt lined box, The metallic imaging on the cover. All three vinyls are nice and heavy. It also came with a very gorgeous metallic sticker and an actual blotter page featuring the cover of the album All perforated and ready to be dipped!
- This is quite astounding. The presentation of this is simply gorgeous. The box is solid and looks really nice and inside is Velvet lined with lift strap.
The pressings are superb... Beautifully done.
What a trippy delight. - I'm now in possession of the Holobox version of this album.
But... It seems that the release has been removed from Discogs. I've tried to edit the release to add photos but it won't let me for some mad reason.
I've opened a ticked with Discogs, no idea how long that will take.
Can anyone resubmit the release because this has now been officially released. - I seem to have gotten a bad copy, which is rather unlucky. There's a lot of popping on mine on all sides, thankfully it doesn't cause any skipping but the pops can be quite loud at times. None of the other album represses have this issue.
- Any one else get the side C sticker on both sides C and D? Other than that small issue I'm loving this repress!
- MUCH better quality than the first 3 Shpongle represses from 2022. I would recommend a good cleaning as soon as you open it. A bit noisy at first, but quieted down significantly after a cleaning.
