The Cult – Dreamtime

Warm tones on this 40th anniversary release. Finally able to replace my battered vinyl from 1984.

A wonderful album! I’d love to see this reissued on vinyl to celebrate it’s 40th anniversary in 2024.

Great album. I think I must have had this on an imported cassette back in the day as I really do not recognise the covers shown on the CDs listed here. I prefer the original LP/cassette artwork.

Listening with headphones now. No surface noise, very clear sound. Impressed as I never buy picture discs usually. Go West, young man!

Super noisy picture disc this, as was sadly typical of picture discs in the 1980s. Pretty much unlistenable due to the massive background noise. I'm happy to report that picture disc production improved hugely in the 00s and beyond, and can actually be listened to, as well as looked at.

I don't understand the low rating for this wonderful album. It is full of energy and sounds great.

Phenomenal sounding early psychedelic Cult album. And the sound of this LP pounds like you wouldn't believe! Sounds better the louder you play it. Great mastering by the immortal Emile Lepine at SNB & flawlessly pressed at Cinram.

If you love this album alot, do yourself a favor and go buy Death Cult "Ghost Dance" for a fraction of the price and hear alot of good old Cult jams that were previous to this release. Don't let the name scare you, I waited 20 years to buy it and I am very thankful that I did. Very nice pacackage of early songs.
