Compilation album originally released in the US & Canada by Capitol Records in 1966.
This release is notorious for its controversial original cover photograph, known as the "Butcher Cover".
The initial response to the cover from the estimated 60,000 advance copies was so negative that Capitol recalled all 750,000 manufactured copies from its distributors for repackaging with a more conventional photograph.
Butcher covers are generally divided into 3 categories:
First state - Original unaltered version.
Second state - First state cover with the new artwork pasted over (generally known as a "Trunk Cover").
Third state - A second state copy where the pasted-on Trunk cover image has been (fully or partially) removed, revealing the Butcher cover photograph underneath.
The notoriety and scarcity of the Butcher cover has made it one of the most expensive and sought-after Beatles releases.
A first state Butcher cover (without the actual record) previously owned and autographed by Ringo Starr was sold at an auction in 2015 for $25,600.

The record I have has an Apple Label On it, Didn't see it in the pictures, Just a variation, or is it a special version?

Surprisingly good sounding for a bootleg. Just got this from my wife for the holidays. Boy it sure does sound quite good! Nothing like getting a NM used copy of this!!!- Seems my copy is closest to this version with the main difference being it does have the subsidiary text on the rainbow label. It has the gold record award on the front, it has the #16 on the back, and it appears to have the "o" or "0" in the runout indicating Jacksonville but it's hard to make out. Very slight difference in the matrix/runout in that the "#2" is only on side B:

Hello, I have this record sitting in front of me and I cannot determine with certainty that it is a true second state. It has all of the identifiers of this pressing. The trunk cover is glued over and intact. The Matrix is T-1-2553-G20 and T-2-2553-F21. I have a second state, yeah? Please help. Thank you!

A fantastic sounding album. I have the original US copy from 1976. Now owned by my daughter. And replaced it with this version. Wow does it sound great. Really. IF you grew up with the US mixes and still enjoy them this is a really really great representation of what the Capitol version could have sounded.
