This repress makes me wanna cry. One of the best in my collection. Perfect sound. Flawless.

Really nice reissue on thick, super clean 180g vinyl housed in a thick and sturdy Stoughton-style tip on jacket in a polylined inner sleeve. An example on how reissues should be done. I have two other versions of this album. The ‘98 UK repress (which is pressed from the original UK plates) and the original US press. This new reissue sounds good. As a matter of fact it sounds better than just ‘good’. The most immediate thing I notice that sets it apart from the other 2 releases is the bass. The bass is best defined on this version. And the AAA cutting really added a nice warmth to the overall sound. It’s hard to say which version sounds best because all three versions that I have really sound exceptional. It seems this record was recorded and mastered well from the beginning. I will say though that this most recent release does feel a little tame in comparison to my Uk ‘98 repress which seems to be cut louder, have more impact and a slightly wider soundstage. Not as warm but more focused in the midrange. Like the UK repress, the US version is also cut louder and therefore seems to project the sound a little further and also seems to be more focused in the midrange, making it sound more raw and gritty while this new version has more balanced tones and smoother delivery. I really do like the way this new version sounds for the added warmth alone but I wouldn’t say it sounds better than either of the other two versions I have. This is one of my favorite records so I’m happy to own all of them for the alternative listening experiences they provide. They all have their own unique qualities that make them sound good and instruments are extremely well defined on all. The pressing quality on this new version is excellent too. Playback is dead silent and no warps or scratches. I would pick up this new version before it goes up in price, it is definitely a good version to own.

This version is 100% silent pressing on audiophile setup. Purchased Feb. 2022.

Honestly one of the coolest things a band have ever done, sending these out with other orders. Was such an incredible surprise to open.

Nearly flawless pressing, was a bit dirty but a dry brush helped sort that. No centering or warping issues, no noise or clicks. I'll repeat what others have said, this is the best repress of their albums, it sounds incredible. The analog versions of MBV and Loveless are good but I think the "AAA" process came through best here.

Finally got MBV on wax. Was worth the wait. Love it. Heavy, thick cardboard gatefold jacket and impeccable analog-cut sound? Forget about it. A+ pressing and one to finally cross off the bucket list. So appreciative of Kevin, the band and Domino for this. I really thought I was out of luck when I missed out on the analog remasters the first time around. What a treat.

Hopefully these bootleggers didn't quit their day jobs. Not only does the spine say "My Bloddy Valentine" but the centre labels have been stuck to the wrong sides. Sounds alright though!
