My Bloody Valentine – Loveless

I’ll admit I don’t have any other copies to compare but I enjoy the lo-fi tone of the record. Definitely don’t pick it up if you want a full warm sound but I enjoy my copy.

Sound quality is great (how the fuck would you even tell if this album is defective anyways? lol), although you have to turn it up a fair bit to get it nice & immersive, but you should always be playing this album as loud as a jet engine, loud enough to override your own soul. Packaging looks great too; never seen such a simple glossy finish work so well, like glass or cherry hard candy; an absolutely beautiful thing all around👌

For a BOOTLEG it's pretty darn solid. People complaining about noise on a recording that's noisy to begin with??

Nothing beats the original master of this album, I’m sure the 1991 vinyl copy sounds better, but if you want this on CD try to get an original and not any reissues!

Intoxicating release. Mine is deluxe version pressed in Germany. Thick gatefold came dented but it doesn’t matter since the spin is clean af; almost violently hallucinatory, not for the faint of heart. This pressing does justice to one of the greatest albums ever recorded. Now just need to get my paws on the digital version

Finally i get my clean copy of 1st german pressing for decent price. And i finally hear this album right! It's sounds amazing, warm with great separations, not distorted and flat like recent reissues and streaming versions. Highly recommended!

The other MPO listing had its date removed and “repress” added. Should this also be a repress without a date? If this one stands as original so should the other MPO (crossed out)

Not a bad sounding CD, but it is quiet compared to the cassette and the LP. Levels could have been boosted just a tad louder (the latest remaster and vinyl pressing has too much gain in my opinion).

It might be cool to label this the digitally sourced version. They made this so confusing. The inside top left of one the gatefold pictures you see "Vinyl cut by Heino Leja". And it says the same thing for Isn't Anything on the inside. His name is on both the digital vinyl versions of Isn't Anything and Loveless (but only on the inside). (As of this moment, REWIGLP158, which is Isn't Anything, digitally sourced, has completely wrong info in the discogs.com listing.) If it ends in 159X or 159S its Fully Analog. But if you're missing the shrink wrap, it doesn't say Fully Analog anywhere on the back or in the gatefold. Just taken from 1/2 analog tape in the gatefold. The digital versions don't say a thing about how they were sourced, and the sticker on the front doen't say digitally sourced. You can only tell by what's not there. If you don't see Fully Analog on the stickler on the shrink wrap, or the X or S on the spine, or mention of 1/2 tape on the inside gatefold, then it's digital. Who was the genius who thought up this?
