I always liked the A Deeper Cut mix myself even though it was shoved on B2 sides and omitted from most CD Single releases.....referencing Son Of A Gun (12", 45 RPM) HOOJ 023
Amazingly after all this time and thousands of plays of the Red Jerry etc mixes I don't consciously remember ever hearing the original mix before. Well I'm surprised how good it is and for me injects a whole new lease of life into a tune I've been hearing for over 26 years. I'm surprised because if a remix dominates a tune's life it's often because the original needed some serious revitalisation to stick it in the onion bag. But in this case they've both got it.
Can anyone else with this release confirm if theirs is quiet? Mines almost inaudible!referencing Son Of A Gun (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) TABX 233
A super smashing great tune of the era.
JX come up with a stomper of a dance tune, Red Jerry fills it with even more energy than a Red Bull at an overactive kid session on the A1 mix.
On the B side you have Flatlands which is an acid stomper which shares many similarities with Access by Dj Misjah & Tim although not as good, but still goes down well.
Many mixes have followed the original format of the classic Son Of A Gun however this version still stand the test of time.
