- who woulda thought that some of the sickest, fattest, funk rock grooves ever laid out in the 70s were from a bunch of bible thumping white kids from Three Hills, Alberta? Germany may try to lay claim to these guys, but by birthright these guys are ours. This album is pure gold from beginning to end, with the stud track being "Tightrope", a song about the Christian phenomena of 'backsliding' (google it) that spins a truly sublime melody highlighted by future Canadian AOR hero Paul Janz's nut achingly stratospheric vocal lines in between absolutely ass kicking funk grooves. Its truly that impressive of a track - like after 2000 years, Jesus FINALLY shows up to kick some ass around here. The Christian lyrics are pretty tame here otherwise, if thats an issue for you. So, do right by your ears and pick up a copy of this long forgotten 10 carat diamond piece of work. If you want to spend the money, the CD release by Big Pink comes highly recommended.

Sorry - this record is not Fusion nor Prog Rock! Like Bee Gees in the "Saturday Night" aera, in 1977. Genre ist Disco & Popreferencing Tightrope (LP, Album) 0063.205
Sounds like a (little) more heavy version of the Bee Gees. Not a good "rock" album imho.
