Sounds great. So clear and Dynamic. Surface noise is a touch high and theres some residue from the sleeves left on the records so I put them in spincare sleeves. Other than that all fine. Great Album

This is my first record from Daniel and I love it. The acid house vibe and repetitive beats takes me back to the 90’s. A really good pace too that’s not to heavy so it’s quite a listenable record. As for the mastering…. Well after a good clean it’s fabulous.

An occasion to jump back to my childhood explorations, when techno intensely opened its doors to me. This was at the very beginning or a bit after the release of this album, but all went very fast. It was Gesaffelstein, Jon Hopkins and times for labels like Avian... Daniel Avery's music was for me a condensed of modern/retro-ish sounds and structures. 'Drone Logic' being well chosen, it was clearly a monotonous/crunchy/textured album that paints contemporary fields, not only in music.

I can now completely understand my positions vis-à-vis this LP. It didn't changed much. It's almost, as said in others comments, techno-electro infused, with a progressive, minimalist and acidic zest that makes it totally freak. It certainly has a lot of conscious influences, transcripted in a drone way.

Logic, it's written! Perhaps, album illustration helps us to get the idea behind. A time and music in transition. Re-modeled. There was way more hope in 2013 for techno music than now. That's one of them, faslty felt deep in the water when you look at next Daniel Avery releases on infamous label Mute.

I respect Daniel Avery anyway cause it's an authentic and discreet character who has a huge knowledge in electronic and doesn't show it stupidely. Wasn't aware of this Underworld's 'Rez' which of course is reflected in there. We can notice many references but I'd pick LFO and for the parallels, Hodge, but also Raime.

              Still a TOP10 of 2010. (2005-2015)
Don't you think? Our recent years didn't prove anything.

I've just bought the CD version of this album and had to read the reviews. Seems you lot are pretty divided on this one.

After a few listens, I can see both sides of the argument. While it is excellently produced (and does indeed have a very cool overall vibe), many of the sounds used have been heard before.

Mainly, I'm thinking of Underworld's Rez. Daniel clearly loves that track. Hey, who doesn't!

I'm also getting strong hints of Orbital, but again that's never a bad thing. Some of the more aggressive tracks hint at The Hacker too.

So there's plenty of influence here, that's for sure. But I'm really enjoying what I hear so far (yes, 8 years too late).

Definitely recommended for anyone into dark, moody Techno / Electro with an ethereal twist.

wow...alot of passionate reviews here on the music...its kind of crazy. i like this album. alot. i dont see what the negativity is here. there's a nice mix of everything under the electronic umbrella. to each their own though. pressing is absolutely stunning which i think is the major and most important point of review on discogs...

I find this album horrible. No melody, no "music" but weak ideas and stacked commonplaces of sounds. The sonic timbres are layering on each-other like on a scrapyard. On a scrapyard of noise polluting musics... This album is wasting of the time. There are houndreds better...
