Reviews
- Sounds perfect. New master was absolutely needed, and this demonstrates why. Zero complaints, nothing but praise.
- They've done a nice job with this. Although it has no proper inner protective sleeve, just the card of the inner jacket, I gave my copy an anti-static brushing and played straight away, and noise and pops were very minimal. Pressed perfectly flat and centred. For a scrappy indie recording it sounds just right.
- Edited one month agoAn absolutely fantastic pressing! Dead silent while keeping the rough texture of the original pressing.
- Anyone able to comment on how this new pressing (any variant) sounds compared to the “analphabetapolothology” remaster? Is this different?
- Sounds amazing, remaster added amazing fidelity to this classic, mix is so dynamic and clear. Feel like I’m hearing it for the first time. Vinyl is nearly dead silent too. Great work by Polyvinyl
- 2025 remaster reissue: https://www.capnjazz.band . early bird vinyl is /1500
- Picked up a copy over the weekend on Exile On Main Street in Champaign, IL. If you have a chance to snag this one, do it.
Cymbals and vocals are crisp and clear, drums are nice and punchy, and has decent instrument separation considering how raw this record sounds. Analphabetapolothology sounds pretty decent, but this pressing has just got more of an ‘oomph’ to it. 5/5
