Notes
Brian Eno debut solo album released on Island Records in 1973. A hybrid style of glam rock and art rock, similar to his work with Roxy Music, but more quirky and experimental. It features various guest musicians, including Robert Fripp of King Crimson, members of Roxy Music, Hawkwind, Matching Mole, and The Pink Fairies. Eno developed the work using abstract methods - such as dancing for band members and having them play accordingly, or singing nonsense words to himself that would form the basis of subsequent lyrics.
The work peaked at #26 on the UK album charts and at #151 on the U.S. Billboard charts.

Reviews
I have both the UK EMI and the UK MSP pressing and for me the MSP version is superior to the EMI. The cut is a bit hotter and the frequency spectrum wider, whereas the EMI version sounds a bit flat in direct comparsion.
My copy is not noisy either.
Sounds really great on my system. No click or pops. Quite the relief after I bought it used.
One of the weirdest albums I’ve heard in a while. Very much like Roxy Music. I can see why he and Talking Heads worked together😆 Love Baby’s on Fire, Driving Me Backwards and Blank Frank in particular!- Almost perfect pressing and the remaster sounds so much better. Get ittt
The usual Miles Showell masterclass in mastering. The man's a genius, buy anything with his credit on it.
Still sounds great - wonder if Eno still considers himself a "non-musician" after all these years and the body of work he's responsible for?- Be sure and grab this pressing if you find it in the wild!
Such a great album. These pink rims are always great - so much better than the cd.
I just popped my original copy into a new PVC sleeve to replace the discoloured one from 1973.
Then i checked values and noticed quite a few had sellotape repairs and sure enough mine had the same.
An album that is truly timeless as it morphs from one ART decade to the next and will be forever cherished.
The US design of the Island label from this period is so fugly! Why couldn’t they have stuck with the usual sunray design which other countries were using.
