Unfortunately, even though the mastering is really good with plenty of dynamics and air, there are far too many pops and clicks for my liking on my copy. This ruins the experience during the quieter moments. In particular, the a cappella 'I Didn't Understand' is unlistenable with loud pops and crackle throughout. It's a shame as the sound quality is a significant step up from the CD. The label has admitted that these reissues are sourced from hi-res files so why not just release them and save everyone the hassle of having to deal with substandard pressings?

Plain doesn't make real albums. They rip a CD to 180 grams of terrible vinyl with zero quality control. Runt. Get out of the business and stop screwing up all the good albums.

I get a pretty bad few pops during the first verse of Pitseleh, anyone else hear this or is it just a bad pressing for me?

Have to think this is his best record. Things are getting more Beatlesy. But he's always artful and heartfelt about it and that's what separates him from the rest. He was just warming up, he would've done great stuff.

my plain reissue sounds fine actually...the only issue i find is that the amount of songs on each side is distributed evenly by the tracklist (7 songs each) when it really should have been distributed by time (side 1 takes up 25 minutes and side 2 takes up around 19 minutes iirc). this causes side A to sound naturally a little thin due to there being too much music on one side of the record. side B sounds fine though.

Bought this years ago but finally gave it a listen last night. Holy crap is this pressing awful. Plain Recording should be drawn and quartered for releasing stuff like this.

this reissue pressing from plain recordings sounds horrible. the brights are too harsh and the whole mix is thin und quite unbalanced. I even think the panorama balance is buggered up.
