Television – Adventure

This album makes sense to me now. It's Tom's real first solo album. Worth the 60 freaking US dollars I spent just for "The Dream's Dream". Excellent sound from excellent band in it's final days.

I generally prefer originals but this is at least the equal of the US original, and most would say it's better. It is balanced to fill out the upper bass and lower mids. The treble is cleaner and more extended. There is more space and atmosphere. TV may have preferred the harsher more aggressive tone on the original but for this music the reissue is my go to. (Played on VPI Aries and Linn LP12/Ekos).

This press is genuinely terrible. Glory sounded decent on my version but the further you get into the A side the sound becomes more flat and surface noise gets worse. Didn't even flip to B side after hearing "Carried Away". So sad.

Honestly this isn't my favorite 'New Wave' album but I bought it to get into them and the record looks so good, super nice reissue.

Nothing between this and the 2019 red repress bar the 2019 looks abit sexier. A superlative pressing and great sound quality to my ears too. Buy either with confidence!

Soubd quality is fantastic.... the equal of the 2014 black press. Record Industry pressings are as good as they get so it comes as no suprise this thing is church mouse level of quiet. The red vinyl naturally suits and looks lovely on an illuminated acrylic plinth!

Just picked up a copy. Flat and plays flawless. Excellent mastering and not a single pop or crackle throughout. 140g is also the perfect weight imo. This is how vinyl should be done. For the most critical my copy had seam splits on two sides of the inner sleeve, but I always move my records to separate inners, so not an issue for me. The inner sleeve gets tucked away and only pulled when I feel like looking at it. It's standard paper, not card stock, but it's nice.

Another terrible reissue from 4 men without ears….. or is it 4 men with beards? Either way, they’re the lamest.

This album is clearly Orange, not "gold". At least 10 words must........

Sound quality is good but there is a lot of surface sound and its quite annoying.
