The Cult – Electric

I wonder why this album is under alternative rock genre. Electric is pure hard rock, almost AC/DC HTH style. Even album's title refers to AC/DC.

Found a VG+ out in the wild. Great separation, super rich bass sounds great on Heresy IV’s.. tight tight thumps. Make me jump around the room.. guitar solos sear on just about every single song, great pressing if you find this don’t hesitate

This pressing sounds great. Billy’s guitar pierce throw all the other noise. This album and pressing are very crankable!

This 16-bit remaster, issued 37 years after its debut, sounds amazing. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. Which means it's time to kill the speakers or my ears, whichever occurs first ;)

awesome 80’s hard rock. pressing has a nice punch - can’t go wrong with 80’s canadian vertigo pressings.

Recently acquired pristine copy... After an ultrasonic bath, it plays most excellently. Nice quiet vinyl. Mix and balance are great. Good kick from the bass drum. Tight bass. Crisp and clear mids and highs. This sounds really good to my ears.

After the commercial success of "Love" two years earlier and before the release of the excellent "Sonic Temple" this album produced by Rick Rubin changed the sound of Ian Astbury and co. from Gothic Rock to a more traditional Hard Rock base. With the singles "Love Removal Machine", "Lil' Devil" and "Wild Flower", "Electric" is without context a must-have album for any fan of The Cult.

Excellent pressing, not too loud, flat and enhanced soundstage. Bold sounding and alive, better than original. Not too brash and gain is a little low but stable. Bit noisy, but after using my Zerostat gun, it was ok. Sparkle and cracks are because of heightened static and after a de-static and clean, sounds great.

Beggars Arkive have been doing a great job with The Cult reissues. I now have Love, Electric, Sonic Temple, Ceremony and their self-titled album, all in fantastic sounding coloured vinyl from them, with no warping issues, scratches or damaged covers. I'm no audiophile but to me it just sounds great and I would recommend it. It does need a proper clean due to surface dust being present. It's nice that Beggars Arkive don't charge a fortune for these reissues considering single LPs can start at £27+ now. I think for the quality of sound and overall package it is very fair. Excited to get Dreamtime next!

Mi copia suena bien...el vinilo es plano, con buena dinámica, un poco de distorsión en los últimos surcos, tengo que probarlo con una aguja microline a ver si desaparece, cuando lo haga lo comentaré....
