No doubt, 'Peachfuzz' is one of the best from KMD's 91' LP 'Mr. Hood'. An album laced with skits & tom- foolery, bags of personality, but with this standing out strong as a single track in its own right. Loads of mic time for Daniel Dumile on this one, whom we all now know (or don't know, such is the mysterious masked persona) as the geeks 'go- to' venomous villan, MF Doom.
Not sure who did what on the record production, but the sample choices (OC Smith's cover of 'On A Clear Day You Can See Forever' spliced with 'Sounds Of Goodbye', also by OC Smith) hold a similar sensibility to DD's later work on 'Operation Doomsday' etc, being emotive, obscure & clearly dug out out by finely tuned ears.
For more on the jazzy tip from KMD, check 94's 'lost' 'Bl_ck B_st_rds' LP. The record sadly didn't see the light of day at the time due to disputes with Electra, & was later issued via Sub-Verse/Metal Face. A stone cold classic...
