This album is like… so last year. Seriously, it still sounds dishy after 21 years.
Not so much ‘minimalism’, as it is ‘no more than required’. As though it was produced by AI.
I thought that it’s obvious landmark anniversary last year had passed without much note, however I missed this news article: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-08-12/two-decades-on-ai-explored-in-canberra-duo-b(if)tek-album-2020/12544272. I had not seen the ‘Paperwork Explosion’ before.
Besides the obvious tech inspired and society advancement, or questioning thereof, why did they think ‘Doctors and Nurses’ was a topic for the future 2020?!
Further to what stinky-zappa said, an under appreciated album from a time when anything off centre in Australia wasn’t getting much attention.

2020 has been a fucking disaster for many people including myself, but I do have a funny story to tell... This is a long & boring story but I will share this story with you anyway...

Most people who know me well, I love music & I’m a music collector... Earlier this year (in February), I bought this CD by B(if)tek (electronic dance group from ACT), the album is called 2020 (released in 2000)...

Insert the CD into my car CD stacker & had a listen... When finished listening, I tried to eject, it won’t eject... Then my CD stacker said error... Tried resetting, still not ejecting... Then tried to put another CD in to see if I’m able to eject both CDs, that didn’t work either... But that problem became worst, now I got 2 CDs stuck in the CD stacker...

Pulling half of the car’s dashboard apart to get to the CD stacker... Unplug it, waited a minute, plug it back in to reset it... Guess what? That didn’t work either... By this point, I was pissed...

Took my car to Toyota for them to fix it, they couldn’t work it out or fix it & told me to get a replacement... When I went back home, I pulled the car’s dashboard apart again & decided to dismantle the CD stacker apart... Got the CDs out manually, I was cheering... Rang Toyota back to tell them that retarded monkeys can do a better job than those “so called” Toyota mechanics (muppets)...

Put the CD stacker back together slowly... Okay, let’s try again... Tried to insert a CD in, didn’t work, came up with errors again... Now I got a even bigger problem, I couldn’t insert any CDs in the stacker & it fucked itself (FUUUCCCKKKKKK)... Ended up buying a secondhand from a wreckers yard, gave it a good clean & put it in myself... Good as new!

So, why am I telling this boring story to you? Well, honestly I really don’t know... But what I can tell you is that 2020 has been fucking shit & the CD that I bought is titled 2020 & fucked up my car stacker...

          So yeah, that’s my story!

          😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

A really exciting album that should be better known. From beautiful Pop right through to belting intelligent acid techno it has it all.

The Cliff Richard cover is amazing.

If you see it buy it.
