2023 reissue, silence between Never Quite The Same and Desire is unfortunate as it plays seamlessly on other formatsreferencing Moodymann (2×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album) KDJ 44
As far as I can tell there are no differences between 2023 reissue and the original 2014. Shame, my partner spent big on an original copy just two days before the reissue went up.- Edited 2 years ago

I picked up the 2023 vinyl re-release and it arrived on Jan 24th. FYI... this reissue only contains the 2x12 LP and not the bonus 12" of prior reissues. Will update and provide additional details when I listen to it. referencing Moodymann (2×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album) KDJ 44
I want B1- NO why I have to pay 250+ for one-track way overpriced release a 12'inch single of NO with a couple of remixes that would be great!!!referencing Moodymann (CD, Album) KDJ 44
I bought this back in 2014 for "Sloppy Cosmic" which is a glorious eleven, almost twelve minutes long rework of Cosmic Slop by Funkadelic. Unfortunately, it is not identical to the 12" vinyl: This track (and a few others) have been peppered on the CD with newsflash samples about the murder rate in Detroit. That has been a dated production gimmick since Paul Hardcastle's "19". Get the original Moodymann 12" vinyl or watch it on Youtube.
Otherwise the music is great. Really great. If only the lyrics were not full of B*tch, Motherf*cker, N*gger etc. I would really love this. It seems so unnecessary to me but maybe it's authentic to Moodyman's scene. A real shame.
I can't be mad at Moodyman though as he redeemed himself with the "Moodymann presents nuttn but magic feat...J.A.N." video on YT. Soul Skate Y'All!!!referencing Moodymann (2×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album) KDJ 44
Great record. The call-and-response vocals on the song "No" remind me of Dancer – "The 7 Signs" from 1990.referencing Moodymann (2×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album) KDJ 44
People. Stop creating a new release because you got a bonus record. It's rediculous. I got a bonus as well. But it did not change the actual Mmodymann LP. The album is still the same. All you're doing is creating confusion.referencing Moodymann (2×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album) KDJ 44
Probably no one else will care but anybody else think this should have been released as a 2xCD? An ultrashort version of Freeki Muthafucka is weak!referencing Moodymann (2×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album) KDJ 44
CD came in today from HMV Japan. So glad it was not a digipak! The cd's the same as the MP3 version - a nice companion to the vinyl. I can't believe how fast the vinyl price inflated - what fools we mortals be!. While I have mixed feelings about the cover art -- this is a good long player on both vinyl and cd. KDJ can be proud of this addition to his catalogue.
