This version also substitutes the long version of Airwaves . Three more words.

Such an underrated album! Great thing about this pressing is how massive the music sounds (while not being overblown) - it drowns out basically all surface noise.

I don't like splatter or multi-coloured vinyl either. Fortunately, my copy sounds really quiet, which surprises me. I don't hear any background noise at all. The music itself, however, while sounding very clean, does sound a bit flat and lifeless. My original UK first release sounds far more punchy and has much better dynamics. The bass has more grunt and the high frequencies are much clearer with no roll off at all. Get a good original copy, it sounds much better.

I bought this as a gold-stamped promo and this master and pressing sounds pretty darn great to me! This is the tracklist I heard first and for many years so it's my favorite version.

I bought this and then sold it along with all of my other "splatter" and heavily marbled records (i.e. Nektar's "Recycled" splatter and Supertramp's marbled "Breakfast in America.") Call me crazy. but I can hear an irregular "heartbeat" in quiet passages when the stylus passes over the different densities of the splatter or marble. Very annoying to me.
