Bob Marley & The Wailers – Rastaman Vibration

Never heard this record sound better but there are caveats. Mine has a big patch of nasty looking non fill/stitching pretty usual of Optimal post 2020 and covid. I nearly insta returned. However it plays amazingly throughout, near utter silent! That may not be the case for us all. Secondly it is essential to have a cart that really does these 1/2 speeds justice because they are very extended and open in the treble and dont have extra warmth in the bass. They are only as warm and sweet as your setup allows. Given you like your system and its not already overly revealing i think you will love how this sounds. If you dont love how this sounds you probably arent 100% convinced of your system. Ultimately for the mere £16 i paid its a fantastic release, gatefold, top pressing, top sound... just why the hobby is worth persisting with! Same goss for the 5 or 6 other Marley 1/2 speeds ive got... all outstanding and well worth the £16 to £35 ive been paying

Great sounding LP of Bob & The Wailers laying it down, with insanely fat bass. This album is a deep-cut monster! Beautifully mastered & pressed at Cinram.

Very nice sound on this one, and you can find it dirt cheap (at least in sweden).
It has the same runout markings (NICK UU /NICK W) as the 1976 uk master, so it must be the same metalworks as that one.

Sounds excellent, half speed mastering really hits the mark here. Compared to an OG pressing I had, much better and warm.

Sound great but distortion of the Hi hat for “ Positive Vibration“ , “Who The Cap Fit“ and “Rat Race“, it's a shame.

Just played this against my OG US pressing and I must say Abbey Road really knocked it out of the ball park with this one! This pressing is crystal clear! The vocals , bass and horns are what really shine on this press. I'm definitely going to buy the rest of these BMW half speeds !
