A very rare record, which is a shame since it is one of the hidden gems of the late 70s prog scene. Rather american sounding, this Australian outfit was led by the drummer (who provides some excellent work on the skins) we have a more conventional A side with standard lengh songs that are nontheless incredibly busy and full of detail. The B side is more symphonic with great instrumental work on the mammoth song "Mountaineer". Plenty of mellotron and guitar throughout it is one of the more heavy albums of the era. If you like, say, Song For America-era Kansas, this is right up your expensive alley.

The pressing is typical of the time, post oil crisis 70s. My copy looks very clean, but still crackles near the beginning and in the softer parts.

Very much in the vein of early 70s yes and compatriots Sebastian Hardie

As a matter of fact, mine is actually a genuine CD-R !
