This album came as a pleasant surprise. I gave up on KRS-One pretty much after "I Got Next". He always had a good song here and there but pretty much all albums after his classic self-titled album from 1995 were increasingly lacking in quality.
Here he teams up with True Master, one of Wu-Tang's main producers. The beats are quite typical for him but mostly good. While this isn't anywhere near being ground breaking, it's still a solid album, much better than the higher acclaimed collabs with Buckshot or Marley Marl which both disappointed me for the most part. Let's see if the collab album with DJ Premier will become a reality.
