Eric Bibb is a busy in the land of the blues music. From the late 1990s, an annual studio plate of his hand appears and Jericho Road is now nineteenth. This time let Bibb hear mainly as a story teller. Themes such as ' faith ' and ' reach out to your fellow man ' play an important role on the thirteen varied numbers. Musically speaking, the American experiments up a storm. On the opening song Drinkin' Gourd is his love for gospel, Freedom Train that follows is characterized by airy country. But he is most in his element on a song like Let The Mothers Step Up when the electric guitar heartbreaking cries. Beautiful are also the ' stuffy ' tracks Now and Nanibali that Jericho Road to a nice conclusion, complete with vocals and rhythm from Senegal. Not even indicating that Bibb is.
