Any chance this beautiful record gets a well-deserved repress? One of my all-time favourite

They could have put both '6ft Wasp' and 'Slacker' in the same side so the original segueing between the two tracks could have remained intact. Otherwise nice repress. Putting the needle on "Dave Yang & Steve Yin De-Swish T' Swish" is a truly special experience, to me at least.

i know its unfair and really bad form to reduce a band as versatile as fila brazilla to a single song, but dios mio, "subtle body" is such an incredible piece of music to listen to. every time this tune comes up it stops me dead in my tracks. i don't even think about stuff anymore, it just sucks me into this non-state, morphing me into a wobbly, warm lump of atoms cruising thru the third dimension. love it.

Been waiting 20 years for this to come out on Vinyl- This Album is Fila Brazillia at their best. If you are new to FB or don’t know it, a definite must check!

The mastering/pressing overall sounds great! There were a few pops and clicks which was a bit disappointing, but does not over power-
Two thumbs up!!

the strings in "at home in space" sound like the opening chords of vaughn williams's 'the lark ascending', also a beautiful tune.

Dead quiet vinyl and well done packaging. No insert is a disappointment.

As perfect a downtempo record as there is out there....seriously... that spaced out intro to Leggy and the depth defying chill of Subtle Body and it all glides along together insomemutantjazzygroove....that won't stop...ever

This album was my introduction to the Fila Brazillia sound. What an intro! After nearly 20 years I still listen to this album every few months. It is a stone cold classic of down-tempo electronica, and to my ears is timeless. I feel this is the pinnacle of Fila Brazillia's output with nary a wrong foot placed from the start to finish. Essential!

Stunning record. Bears comparison with the roughly contemporaneous classic 'Smokers delight' by Nightmares on Wax. This jazzy, soulful downtempo (call it Trip Hop if you must) is a real gem. I fell FilaB lost their way later on but this is an essential release. Easily loved

Mess, the second album from the Fila Brazillia boys, has all the properties that you would expect (and hope for!). “A Zed and Two L’s” is a bass-laden jam that switches tempo towards the end, but is complemented throughout by African chanting. “At Home in Space” glides by on a flute, moving through various stages. That is exactly what’s so great about Fila Brazillia -- instead of endless noodling, their tracks have an actual shape and move according. Sure, they indulge themselves occasionally, but, for the most part, they’re tight. “Slacker” goes back into house mode, while “Extract of Pineal Gland” has jazzed-up piano chords all throughout. “Subtle Body” closes the album on a simple and beatless note. Outstanding.
