- The 45rpm ‘Remix’ is the best sounding version of this classic. Not a exaggerate bass inflated version, with a well shaped soundstage, with clear mids and highs.

Great track, timeless, hasn't dated, still as pumpy as the first time I heard it, and a very clever track.- I currently have M/A/R/R/S 39 times on my iTunes. There's a version on https://www.discogs.com/release/388771-Various-Deejay-Millenium that starts something like 'Yo you homeboys here in front - this ones for you' (Female voice). All the other versions start with the words 'Pump up the volume' or 'That's right dude gotta be the greatest record of the year'. Of course the UK and USA versions are different plus the UK almost immediately had the 'Remix'. I'd love to have all the versions most weren't named that appear over the many compilations i do have the CD single with a number of mixes on but i've yet to add and check that one to my iTunes
- Well, if you are only going to be known for ONE song, make sure it's a good one--and they sure delivered here. One of the most important odball dance records to come out of the 80's...and one of the earliest examples of hip-hop being sampled by dance producers.
- Edited 2 years agoi believe the Cd Compilation - "On●Top - Today's Chart Hits" includes the 7 '' U.S.A Remix, yet it is not listed as such...
- Just basically an R release of thé original vinyl that was released a week before, even thé runntime IS the same, correct me if i am wrong but don't find any difference between the original and the remix whatsoever
