- Such a wonderful record.
This compilation really captures what all that minimal scene was about in the early 2000s. It's futuristic, enthusiastic, clever and super sensitive.
It sounds a little dated of course but it brings so much memories for anyone who enjoyed this particular period of history when tomorrow was something exciting. You can imagine yourself working on an iMac G4 blasting those wonderful bleepy noises and melodies on those weird looking transparent speakers everyone had surrounded by graphic designers wearing tight turtlenecks and glasses or on your iPod cycling in Paris on a sticker-covered bike on your way to colette... Those were the times. - Edited 17 years agoMoon over Plateaux by Akufen is a perfect introduction. This album is so good, I play it over and over monthly. This album is a DJ compilation of Minimal House, Ambient, and Electronic.
- If you like good, vibrant and sometimes deep minimal music, "Futuristic Experiments #004" is for you. With the uncanny precission of today's german electro scene, each release is a travel to the bright and the not so bright side of musical perceptions. Each artists crafts minimal gems to listen with pleasure in your home, or to vibrate with these on powerfull soundsystems. A final note: i note a special mention to "Aussenbordreparatur" from Rythm Maker, trully a beautifull soundscape... listen and enjoy
