There's a reason this version is going for so much...it's very good! The 2013 remix is much better than the original 1975 release - the audience noise is cut down drastically, the Jobson overdubs are gone, the full "Asbury Park" and "Easy Money" jams are here (having been drastically cut-down on the 1975 release), and the correct version of 21st Century Schizoid Man is present (the original had a different performance of 21CSM that wasn't from the Asbury Park concert the rest of the show is from).

Overall, I cannot recommend this enough. This is the definitive way to listen to one of King Crimson's greatest concerts.

The FLAC version of the same 2013 mix sounds clearer and more exciting to me. The volume of the cut is low and turning up the knob improves the overall experience although it reveals a not-so-quiet pressing, there are some pops and clicks across all four sides after a deep clean. I would say that this edition has a rougher and less detailed sound than the digital version, apparently due to a cutting problem, especially on the first disc (which has oversaturations from time to time), the second one I think has better instrument separation, dynamics and impact. I don't understand what could have happened, Jasfadace also made the ITCOTCK cut which sounds spectacular, and the pressing is impeccable.

The beautiful cover appears blurry and with opaque colors, which gives a bootleg feel. The only thing that is clear are the credits letters on the back cover. The records are flat and heavy, the blue color is strange but looks pretty nice against the light, however the sparkle effect is annoying since it is difficult to distinguish the dirt.

The cardboard is sturdy and the gatefold features the same artwork as previous editions of the full concert, the inner sleeves are polylined and use the usual generic (and not very pretty) design to promote King Crimson and Mr. Fripp's records. However, for this 50th anniversary edition it feels like a wasted opportunity that the photographic documentation, poster or other memorabilia from the original concert, which were used on the band's social media to promote the sale of this one, were not used instead.
I've been eagerly awaiting this release, and as happy as I am to have it, I was expecting something better. It's not a bad release, nor a beautiful one, nor an outstanding one. It's the entire concert on vinyl, that's it.
PS: The promotional stickers for previous reissues of other albums by the band advertise that the cuts were approved by Mr. Fripp. This is not the case.

Made from the same metal parts as the box set (1972-1974) version, same matrix/runouts

Nice! I have been waiting for this re-release and am not disappointed. Vinyl looks cool, and this talk about it being noisy is just b.s. Sounds great and am happy to finally have the epic live Stardust on wax!

I have nothing but good things to say about the 2xLP version of King Crimson's "USA". Yes, I would have preferred it just be on black vinyl, since I have had some problems with colored vinyl releases in the past. But not my copy of this EXCELLENT King Crimson release. The background of the vinyl is super quiet, and its sound quality first rate. I'm SO glad that Fripp finally released this Asbury Park show in its entirety on vinyl! The silent background of my vinyl copy might have something to do with the high quality of my turntable set-up, which is "audiophile" quality. But often my turntable highlights the inaccuracies of a poor pressing, not hides it.
But most of all, I have to once again praise the quality of this 1974 performance! Wow! I'm a happy Crimso fan!

These Editions EG Half-Speed Mastered LPs from the mid-80's have all proven to be spectacular. This one is no exception. Pretty near perfect pressing, nice and dynamic, nice stereo soundstage, very low noise floor, very clean. I bought all of the KC albums, with the exception of the first, around 1985 when I was really getting into the band and they were rereleased on the Editions EG label. So thankful I did, these have all held up very well and sound fantastic!

Does someone know if this version got the orginal David Cross live parts, or the Eddie Jobson studio overdubs?

This is a real treat. Beautiful pressing and packaging with the booklet and poster. Wonderful to have a complete concert on vinyl featuring the Wetton / Bruford lineup. If you get the change to buy this at a half way decent price, do not pass on it. Well worth it.

Brilliant pressing, hardly any surface noise, pops and crackles which is quite impressive seeing as this was probably pressed around 79-84
