Billy Cobham – Warning

My copy is a beautiful translucent green when held to a bright light. This album is an absolutely flawless jazz fusion experience with some seriously deep, sweet bass. One of my favorites by Mr. Cobham!

I'm pretty sure that in the photo of the back of the album sleeve there is a reflection of some serious man-boob in the lower-right.

As we known around 70's this monster drummer are very powerfull and energetic - the angst from Mahavisnu Orchestra till his solo project was real crazy dangerous kick .

In 80's within GRP and new advanced state of the art 24 track digital technology Billy Cobham absorb and adapt with the jazz fusion sound development. As a drummer and composer he sense the future is always be more interesting .

One Billy's best albums/cds from the 1980s. Band is tight, drums are balanced and the keys are supreme with choice sounds warm analog polysynths mixed with then state of the art DX digital keys. I have to say Gary Etkins just kills it on the synth solos very well composed and his choice use of sounds duly leaves plenty of space for the rest of the band support to be heard. Nice dynamics.
From the powerful opener Mozaik to the return of Stratus everything is spot on Warning. No dull and uninspired tracks here and best of all ZERO vocals!
