- this pressing sounds amazing and for the price I got it, $11 on double heavyweight vinyl and the inserts, feels like a steal. i’d pay $25 for this without a second thought. Great album and top notch packaging. I should have bought more to give to friends.
- Miles Showell comes up trumps again. Superb wide soundstage. I think it would be difficult to find a better pressing today. Highly recommended. Records like this makes vinyl collecting make sense. Buy it if you can.
- One of the greatest albums ever made…. every note, every sound, every track on this album is just amazing. I was originally one of the people who only listened to Who’s Next constantly, then I got this and it all turned around. This album has changed my life.
- Just inherited a really nice, borderline NM 1967 U.S. pressing. Fantastic sound quality on this one. I love the singing and harmonies on this Who album. Beautiful.

I have a pretty beat up copy of this pressing. I've heard that the Decca and Classic Records mono pressings sound better than this one. While it does have a muddy high end I still really enjoy this pressing. It's cut loud so it blocks a lot of surface noise on my G+ copy. I mean this album in mono is no sonic masterpiece to begin with. The main reasons I am delighted to own this are 1) It's a beautiful and valuable object. 2) Anything is better than the utterly dog shite stereo mix. Would like to get my hands on a UK mono Hendrix - Are You Experienced even though they are very expensive and apparently don't sound very good.
Music: 10/10
Pressing: 7/10 - Edited 2 months agoThis Is A Great Sounding LP, I Really Love The Who Sell Out And Am Over The Moon Having Got This Brand New For A Relatively Low Price. The Stereo Mix For Me Is More "Happening" Than The Mono For Lack Of A Better Word. The Poster Is Fantastic And The Cover Is Very Sturdy. My Only Complaint Is That The Vinyl Is Quite Noisy During The Quiet Moments But Probably Just Needs A Clean To Get Rid Of That.
- I got this for, like, $11, so I'm happy with it anyway. However, I think the first record sounds... Quite bright. Like, had to turn down the speakers cuz it was hurting my ears bright. The pressing quality itself is fantastic, however, and the second record sounds sublime. I think this just comes down to a strange remaster perhaps, but it doesn't hamper my enjoyment of the album. Just be wary
- This is missing two bonus tracks from the 1995 reissue, essential ones imo: Melancholia and Glow Girl. If you like this record and haven't heard them, you should seek them out. Aside from that, as someone who grew up with the 1995 reissue I think this record is a near perfect release and they're practically giving it away.
- Most off-center pressing I’ve ever seen. I’m genuinely impressed. The tonearm arcs almost an 8th of an inch during playback back and forth. Had to cut the spindle hole with an xacto.
- I can see Miles in the dead wax! These Abbey Road Who reissues are mostly wonderful (I haven't heard Quadrophenia).
