The Who – The Kids Are Alright

My pressing is similar to the Monarch Repress except the side A runout has 11 in circle, side B has ML-7 x with 6 in circle and side D has 1 in circle.

Very nice 2 LP, pressing little tricky,some songs recorded in studio and they sounds fantastic, some songs recorded live version and their sound less ,so recording going up and down during play but nice to have it.Happy i bought it...

This 2000 CD is unlistenable, really bad mastering, avoid this turd.

THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT does a great job of collecting some of The Who's best known songs in less familiar versions, mostly taken from live concerts over the years. The material included spans the length of their career to that point, from 1965-78. Standouts include a killer version of "My Generation" from the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, an alternate mix of "Long Live Rock", a trio of selections from TOMMY culled from their Woodstock performance, and best of all, arguably their finest live performance ever recorded: "A Quick One, While He's Away" from the Rock & Roll Circus concert film. On the other hand, it's a bit sad hearing the newly recorded versions of "Baba O'Riley" and "Won't Get Fooled Again" from 1978, it's painfully obvious when hearing Moon's drumming that his skills were severely diminished, he sounds weak and sluggish, without the powerful and manic energy he once possessed in spades. Audio quality varies depending on the source used, but this pressing is respectable throughout, particularly on the stuff from the 1970's. My copy plays nice and clean with just a trace of sporadic faint surface noise.

My version of this pressing has the gold foil "promotional" stamping. Sounds great, powerful.

1986 first CD press. Well having just jumped on this 1979 live album by the Who and now desperately want it, forget the first press. I knew I wanted a remastered deluxe version. 4 songs cut!! Damn I could see one or maybe two like with Ozzy's 1982 Speak of the Devil album but with 4 omitted I'm sure lots of Who fans got very pissed off in the mid-80's.

this was a great japan cd reissue & remaster from 2001 of this classic 1979 soundtrack.... the photos from the booklet that came with the original lp are crammed into some of the small pages here and the disc sounds fantastic!!!! also included are the usual japan inserts as well as this nice yellow budget reissue japan obi...

I really love this album. But of course I really love the who. Comes with a really cool booklet. I'm a sucker for that stuff

this seems to have been pressed on 120 to 140 gram vinyl, this reissue is one of the best sounding editions of this amazing 1979 soundtrack 2 lp sets i own..... the discs where printed in germany and THIS REISSUE DOES NOT CONTAIN THE BOOKLET........ both inner sleeves have SOME of the photos from the booklet, again great sounding euro reissue of this from 2019....

Amazing sounding pressing. Great mix on this . The Entwisle bass solo on my generation really pops like I’ve never heard before. Cover works for me as I’m more interested in the music than whether the sleeves are embossed.
