Reviews
- Absolute gem of an album, actually bought this in '92 just because of the sleeve. I wish there was at least a second album in this style by Bleep.
- Edited 18 years agoMost of the tracks (or songs, I should say) contain electro/hip-hop vocal samples, while Cycle 92 in particular even samples Kraftwerk's "Boing Boom Tschak". The song structure of the cuts on this album conveys that late '80s electronic dance music feel, when the sounds used were still fresh and the music as a whole was awaiting the arrival of yet unexplored sonic possibilities.
- Reportedly Geir Jenssen (Bleep/Biosphere) signed to the R&S label on the same day as the Aphex Twin. The two met in the label's Ghent offices where Aphex admitted to listening to The North Pole By Submarine almost every day!
