- This is a great-sounding pressing. Quite, totally flat, wide soundstage, full. The guitar rings, drums to be heard but not over the music, vocals - perfect. Great sounding pressing of this awesome album. If you find this in the wild, buy it. I found a new copy for 39 euros.
- For a rather cheap reissue it sounds very good, I am happy, for the price an absolut fair deal. There are some compression issues I agree and some distortion but nothing heavy and you will miss most of it when listening. And I am sure that an OG will sound better and you better have a deeper pocket then.
- Edited 2 months agoI was blown away with the sound on the MFSL CD when I bought that in '90. THAT was my go to copy for decades after buying MANY different variants including OG UK and US pressings. I finally broke down and bought a sealed MFSL pressing recently. Believe me, it's worth every penny. Wish I would've bought one when I bought the CD version when I had the chance!

Copied from release notes:
When Blind Faith was promoted before release - there was a lot of 'outrage' because of the 'girl' cover. Many companies (and in some cases whole countries) refused to sell the LP with the 'girl' cover. Here in the UK it was expected that many shops would refuse to stock the LP with the 'girl 'cover' - so quickly another cover had to be developed. However many shops in the UK 'rolled over' and stocked the 'girl' cover anyway - which is of course is why the 'girl cover' is so common today. However a very very few shops decided not to stock it - and so this 'other' cover was developed. However not many of these covers were ever sold at all. The cover that was developed for shops that refused to sell the 'girl' cover is very different from the standard(and common) cover!!!!
It is a single sleeve which is fully laminated. It is very probable that this mega rare cover was only stocked for a very short amount of time during the records chart run - and once the 'hype' and 'shock' about the cover had subsided - the few shops that had refused to stock the cover soon went back to stocking the standard cover.- My copy from Sound of Vinyl sale sounds rich and clear. Very flat 180g vinyl cleaned before playing.
- Having never heard an original pressing, I must say this one sounds really good. I purchased this new back in the day and haven't listened to it in a while. After an ultrasonic clean, I put it on the turn table, cranked it up and was blown away by how nice this pressing is. Full, dynamic, clean. The whole soundstage is just wonderful. Eric's guitar cuts through the full and deep rhythm section, with Ginger's cymbals riding on top. And Steve's vocals...what a perfect mix. "Do What You Like" just sounds divine. A few small, unobtrusive clicks but what a gem. Blows away my 1st issue CD.
- Sehr gute Blues Rock von der englischen Band Blind Faith .Kann ich echt nur weiter empfehlen.Wäre mir persönlich auch ruhig 60 Euro wert .
