XTC – Black Sea

Gotta love these guys. New to XTC and can't stop listening

My copy has a white label, even though it shares the same GHS runouts and barcode.

Outstanding pressing - sounds really detailed (and beefy) when cranked up.

The 2017 Surround mix in DTS-MA is an absolute belter. Yes it's slightly different than the original stereo mix (also included here) but this new version moves with vigour, pace and above all - fun.

Just picked up a great copy of this because it has a rep as a great Japanese pressing and it sounds amazing, XTC at their near peak (English Settlement, which followed it, is the best XTC LP IMHO).

love this pressing very punchy and good dynamics i also own a older rso pressing and i think this 1 beats it

This is a fantastic pressing. Very quiet. Excellent soundstage with lots of detail. Best I’ve ever heard this album. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful album by XTC and probably their the best one after English Settlement. This UK pressing sounds great too.

Why have a lyrics sheet with a handwriting font, black text on a dark brown background?
Didn't they wan't anyone to read the lyrics?

can you get the extras anywhere on cd or mp3 ?? [i.e. not in blu-ray audio form]. thanks for your help.

and also, thank you nooneinparticular for your initial reply. sadly the disc drive i have/software i tried to transfer does not work with my macbook. someone somewhere might be able to figure out an alternative, but i am but a mere caveman regarding these kinds of tasks and have darn near just given up hope. very frustrating there isn't somewhere like bandcamp you can just buy/download these files in a non-audiophile/nerd form [i.e. wav/mp3]. guess i'll just be patient for now and hope something becomes accessible in the not too distance.
