I read that the band Face To Face covered the Springsteen song "Streets Of Fire" for the movie & soundtrack but rights to the song were not obtained in time to use. The song was produced by Jimmy Iovine. It's too bad one of the many re-issues of this soundtrack doesn't include the song as a bonus track. referencing Streets Of Fire - Music From The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (LP, Compilation) MCA-5492
The only problem is Ry Cooders ballsy slide guitar number during the intro does not make it on the album.
A good Blasters song thoughreferencing Streets Of Fire - Music From The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (LP, Compilation) MCA-5492
Stevie Nicks sings backup on "Sorcerer." Extra words to make ten.- Edited 3 years agoFinally: a well mastered CD edition of this album! It took me a while to get my hands on this one. All CD versions of this soundtrack sound, unfortunately, rather flat, but at least this one is properly equalized and sounds quite all right, something none of the other versions achieved. Most editions sound very tinny with no bass at all. Some European editions have all the bass but little treble instead. This one sounds OK and, plus: it's the only CD version I've found that includes lyrics in the booklet! The European vinyl edition has an insert with lyrics as well, but no other editions on any format seem to have them.
- This European CD edition sounds rather flat, but it is still my preferred version. The US edition, as most CD editions of this album, has lots of treble, but no bass at all, which makes it almost unbearable to listen to.
- Edited 3 years agoMost CD issues I know of this album sound very weak, with a lot of treble but absolutely no bass at all. It says here this one has been remastered. Does anybody know if the issue of lack of bass has been corrected on this one, please?
