- Too bad the Feelies don’t appear on this. Their version of “I’m a Believer”, which they perform in film is tremendous.

A sleeper masterpiece. Produced, mixed and mastered expertly and containing tracks you can't find anymore (many having disappeared from streaming services) and sounding their best. Opener "Loco de Amor" is a stunner, followed by a procession of songs that capture the movie and era beautifully. The pressing is also DEAD QUIET and punchy as all get out. Inadvertently got myself a party record without realising.referencing Something Wild - Music From The Motion Picture Soundtrack (LP, Compilation, Gloversville Pressing) MCA-6194
For fans of '80s music, this is one of the best values-for-money on vinyl. Fun little packets of new wave, reggae-pop, and techno, plus David Byrne's Latin-inflected opening track. Could probably do without the meh Steve Jones tune, but UB40s ultra-bouncy instrumental "Zero Zero Seven Charlie" makes up for it (and I'm not even a UB40 fan). Perennially found for under $5 bucks. Go for it.- One of my favorite soundtracks! A wonderfully eclectic track list. Excellent sound on my US pressing. Also, highly recommended for the unique mix of New Orders ‘Temptation’. To my knowledge, the only place to find this version.
- For the Oingo Boingo collectors out there, I'll note that Track 4 "Not My Slave" is a different sounding mix than the one found on Oingo Boingo - Boi-Ngo.
That version is showing as mixed by Bill Jackson, and if I had to guess, I'd say this 1986 (pre-Oingo Boingo - Boi-Ngo) version was mixed by someone else. Unfortunately, mixing credits are unavailable in the booklet :/
