The album that introduced HNAS to the world. I remember Steven Stapleton telling me he'd discovered this great new band that sounded like Faust. They're called "Moose Without A Sofa" or something like that in German - he went on. You're going to love them. He was right. And around the same time as this originally came out on LP on United Dairies, we got copies of another LP via Multimood from Sweden. Melchoir was indeed the more superior and mature album, not only due to Nurse With Wound involvement, HNAS had focused with a style and this was the key album that led to a couple more classics at least. So, think Faust, think NWW, and also think of a German/Teutonic twist on the eccentric RIO type stuff by bands like L. Voag or Milk From Cheltenham. This CD also contains an albums worth of oddments from the same era. Great value at the time, but rare now!
