Shantel's second album, AUTO JUMPS AND REMIXES, continues much in the vein of his first, with the the sharp cymbals of "Caramel" hinting at the dubby sweetness underneath, while "Rebels (Without A Pause)" seems to wrap itself in waves of bass, recasting Public Enemy lyrics in gentle cloth. Tim 'Love' Lee's remix of "Azulee," expands on the dub even further,, while "Here She Comes" becomes almost spare and quasi a cappella (except for the electronic twittering and a few instruments in the background). "Elle Est Immortelle" is much more thick with its sound, and "Circle (Blue)" sweeps in with some sparkling ambient dub, and "Caba Da Roca" dubs things out even further, bringing in a string section halfway through. While it's not as focused as his debut, it does has plenty to keep your ears occupied.
