Lal* & Mike Waterson – Bright Phoebus

I have this as described above. Rarely played and I have the cd now when I want to listen to this wonderful LP! Slight difference the colour of my sleeve is the green shade not as above. But everything else is the same, runouts etc. My brother bought it on the day it came out. I 'stole' it off him when he was alcoholic and selling his collection.

Does anyone know if the Peter Paphides essay has ever been reprinted? I stupidly bought only the 1 cd edition when Domino had this out.

I love how Celtic have gone pretty much silent since the lawsuit, seems like they're just salty that someone else did it before them and did it the best it possibly could've. They're dumb to be doing nothing, the fact that Domino reissued it themselves is proof enough that there's demand so they're missing. Great fucking press, Domino knocked it out of the park with this

One of my favorite folk rock albums of all time. Just gorgeous and everyone shows up to give their best. Features Richard Thompson from Fairport Convention to boot!

I have a copy with some label variations from the one(s) listed here on Discogs. Most noticeable is the boxed MCPS on the left side and the centered 'STEREO' text under 'Trailer' (same as 1. pressing). 'BRIGHT PHOEBUS' and ' Mike and Lal Waterson' on top of each other just above spindle hole. Tracks listed on top of each other, like the 1. press. Label is colored yellow. Does anyone know about this? Is it something to look into, or just a variation that does not mean anything?

So glad I have one of these. A terrible shame that it's returned to being a near-impossibility to get.

It's a shame Celtic own the rights to this wonderful album - the Domino release is glorious, and anyone who loves the music of the Watersons should pick up a copy if they can. This release is what this album deserves, not to sit gathering dust on the shelves of the rights owner.
