This album was definitely a different sound than their first...I liked the more mature lyrics, but a little of the crunch and thunder of the first album would have been appreciated; the ultra-smooth production (especially on the later tracks) was a little soporific.

If someone were to ask me what my top 5 favorite albums are... It would be a tough call. But I honestly think Psykosonik's Unlearn would be in there somewhere. This album never seems to get old. I've had it since 1997 and I still listen to it on a normal basis. This sound and mood of the album isn't dated one bit and its the kind of CD that will still sound with the times comes another 10 years from now.

One of the major reasons of this is that the lyrics are very cryptic and don't exactly tell a story... no current day slang or flavor of the week styles are used. Some tracks will instantly hook you (Need To Die, Unlearn, Eye of the Mind) while others will take some getting used to (Alone, PGP, Dreaming Real), but trust me... There isn't one stinker on here. All are classics and fit together perfectly.

Some of the tracks have hints of Goa and Acid influence in them (Secret Life), infact this album could easily be played in a club and get people moving.

I'm hoping they eventually put this on vinyl.

Well I couldn't tell you why these guys decided to call it quits... However I can tell you that this is one of the best electronic albums you'll ever hear if you give it a chance. The vocals are smooth, the lyrics are intelligent, the sound production is top notch. This is the kind of album that will never sound old. Here we are 10 years after its release and it still sounds refreshing. I don't believe any other artist will ever be able to create the feel that Psykosonik did with Unlearn. I'd love to have this album on vinyl.

One of my favorite Electronic albums of all time. It's going to remain a priceless gem for many many years. The tracks on here are smooth and soothing, with ambient, Trance, and Acid influences. The male vocals give an almost retro-80 sound to the music, but this only complements the beautiful instrumentals of each inspiring track. Track 6, called the 'Breathing Room', is my favorite Ambient/Chillout track of all time. Why oh why did Psykosonik break up after only two albums?
