- The seller sent me an email that he was hacked and did not have the record I ordered and paid for via Paypal.
- hahahahahhahahahahahahahahhaha hahahaha hahahahha ahhaha hahhah ahha hah haha hah ah aha 500 EUR ridiculous
- Omg. Just bought this off of Discogs, brand new, still in shrink wrap. Threw it on my turntable and it is riddled with pops and clicks. And I don’t mean one or two. I mean constant and loud. I can only speak for my copy, but this is really terrible. So disappointed. It’s unlistenable. Terrible.
- Finally. Psyched to see this pressed on wax. I have both of her albums now. Side 1 is where the action is here.
Beware of the fake sellers. - My copy has no issues. Plays clean and clear. Also my artwork isn’t pixilated at all. I know the band was not involved at all with any of the aesthetics so not surprised it’s black and hype sticker is plain. But I appreciate a single LP if possible and minimal crap, so I love that it isn’t an inch thick like many RSD items that barely fit in poly bags. Happy to just have it on vinyl.
- The good: pressing sounds solid. Vocals are clean, samples sound really delicious... this is an album truly made for vinyl and this release was long, long ovedue. Press is quiet and although there are places where I think the sound is a bit compressed, it's a 90s album likely transferred from a digital master and I'm not entirely surprised.
The packaging, however, is really lacklustre considering the hype, wait and price. This was one of the priciest records for RSD for me, and yet the cover image is clearly blown up from lower res, the liner paper feels thin like it was run off an intern's printer at home, and there's no extra photos etc. It's very bare bones. My label isn't bubbled and I think the low-fi look suits the overall liner aesthetic Poe went for, but yeah... either the price point shouldn't have been a match to double albums I was also buying, or there should have been more "bling" to it. - Good to have this on vinyl. Kind of like the release of Haunted, where this probably as good it's going to sound on vinyl (I think this one's a little better at times, but both are good, not great). Vinyl is really nice and thick, no pops or noises. The insert is kind of hard to read though; especially the credits on the back as they look blurry. No bubbling on the label like others.
And the sample from Junkie is not present here. Also, dig that early Dilla appearance on Fingertips. That song is a standout I forgot about. Also wondering if Poe is making money from these reissues. Just words words words. - My copy has an issue with the B-side label, it’s bubbly, like it got wet. But the pressing sounds great! So happy I was able to pick a copy up for myself!
- was hoping they'd forget and put the version of "junkie" on the record with the uncleared sample that was later removed. they didn't forget. sounds much better with the sample.
- Really loving this pressing, I was concerned about how the master would sound, but it's great. My copy came pretty clean, flat and quiet
