Tranquility Base! An amazing record. Respect to Mr Peel as well 😀referencing Peel Sessions (CD, , PDO) SFRCD118
I just replied to one of the reviews and then realized I'd rather this be a top level comment. So sorry for repeating myself but...:
Pro tip: disc-rot will NEVER affect 100% of the cds in an affected batch. It's caused by 2 layers that are supposed to be airtight but sometimes aren't in places if the manufacturer screwed up bad enough. One of the weak spots has to be at the outer edge of the CD for the oxidizing process to start.- Edited 5 years ago

If it starts to get bronzed on the text side, but not the playing side, your disc is in for Doom - it will cease to play properly, most often starting at the end of the last track, eating its way towards all of the disc. The sound will start to flutter, like a chewed cassette tape, if you know how that sounds. Curse of The early 90s MPO UK... referencing Peel Sessions (CD, , PDO) SFRCD118
Into the fourth dimension (essenes in starlight) is definitely my favorite track on peel sessions. It has a nice consistent sensual rhythm to it. And it sounds very similar to music from Enigma's first album, MCMXC a.D. So, if you enjoyed Enigma's first album, you will love this song.referencing Peel Sessions (CD, , PDO) SFRCD118
There is also another peel sessions release on Strange Fruit released aprox 1996.The tracks are -1 oobe 2 no fun 3 montagne d or 4 valley .Total running time 36.40 minutes THE catalogue number is SFRCD138referencing Peel Sessions (CD, , PDO) SFRCD118
My copy is experiencing disc rot: the metal is bronzing all over, and there's some deterioration of the metal around the outer edge. No pinholes. Is this happening to all of these discs?
