Why pay top dollar for this when the best version is on here for a fraction of the price' along with other great tracks.
https://www.discogs.com/sell/item/1266136656 - Lucky me, I found a VG+ copy at Discos Paradiso (Barcelona) for €35. One of my favorites (hard to mix by the way hahaha) but amazing production.
- As you could expect, when compared to Bellaphon pressing, this unofficial release has absolutely no brightness. Low volume, little background rumble noise, specially on beginning of the tracks with cutted beats as if it had soundforge filters applied to it. If you increase its gain, low, mid and trebles, it gets closer to German pressing.
Have anyone compared it to original US release? I'm very curious to know if there's a noticeable difference between both also... - Last sold £125, seriously? Great classic don't get me wrong how can someone pay that much for a shortened version of a song that just builds and builds...

TIGHT! One of my favorite boogie jams; when the gospel-like background vocals meld seamlessly with music, very euphoric. Agreed—one of Shep's best and one of Junior Vasquez's early productions.referencing Am I Gonna Be The One (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) FTR 515
Underrated Boogie MONSTER here. This one hardly gets played or even talked about...anybody know who the vocalist is?
This is one of Shep's best mixes, IMO.referencing Am I Gonna Be The One (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) FTR 515
Am I gonna be the one (colourful dub / break for daze) is one of Shep Petitbone best mixes in my opinion. A totally wicked disco dub edit !referencing Am I Gonna Be The One (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) FTR 515
The black and white label copy pictured is from 1986, not 1983.
