Saxon – Crusader

Great pressing, very punchy! The title track sounds amazing here, complete goosebumps.

Why couldn’t the rest of the album sound like the song “Crusader”? If it did we may be looking at another classic masterpiece. The rest just didn’t have the power or weight. Either way, the press sounds great.

This German repress sounds great. The sound is fresh, clean, warm, well balanced and crisp.

Not on label? How is this an official release? I don't think it is.

Bowl-warped vinyl. Returned to the store and received a new copy straight afterwards, and still bowl-warped. I'm not wasting my time for another exchange. The vinyl needs cleaning to get rid of surface noise, otherwise the sound is pretty good on these reissues.

Love this album. Classic Saxon. Beautiful color variant. Thick outer jacket with solid cover art as well. Can’t go wrong with this one. Well done reissue.

This is my personal copy, purchased in '84 before the blokes hit my town.

Highlights are the anthemic "Just Let Me Rock" and your schoolhouse rock history lesson of the week, "Crusader". I don't know what they were thinking, but "Rock City" is corny and annoying. Boo.

IMO, this is the first Saxon record to demonstrate great clarity in the mix. It is tough for dual guitars to sit right in a mix without tripping over one another, and competing with vocals. This record nailed it.

Pressing is great. A nice hot master and good thump on the bottom. And best artwork to date.

this is a beautiful 2018 reissue of this 1984 classic by saxon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!as saxon has been my favorite HM band since 1981 i have all the original uk & japan issues of all these lps but i do must say these are the most attractive reissues of the 80s saxon catlog on lp as the splatter color wax is beautiful and the inner sleeves have great photos from the 1983/84 era of saxon as this lp was originally released in february 1984 in the uk........................
