Saxon – Innocence Is No Excuse

This is a really good album by Saxon and sounds great. The production is nice and whole album sounds fresh and crisp. Here we have classic and beautiful rock sound of 80's and I love it.

Finally got an original copy of this.. Does anyone else have the inner-groove distortion on the last tracks on both sides? Turntable should be set up properly, Rock and Roll gypsies is my favorite track off the album, and it sounds so bad here (along with Give It Everything You've Got).

From 1985, this is the follow-up to 1984's Crusader, by Saxon. Here, the band adapts to the present state of music with a decidedly more '80s-friendly sound. The album is overall well written and carefully executed, but seems to lack any of the epic rock anthems of the past.

The record as well mixed and this is a very nice sounding pressing.

I am selling this right now. Though I really like the Look&Feel of this release my Ears do not deliver those Emotions to my Heart that was felt by listening to the Original '85 Release. It sounds good but somehow a little dry and a little lifeless.

Great album-mood! The spirit of the 80's.. Very powerful and pleasant sound with elastic bass, balanced middle and clear highs. Sound quality 10/10... When you listen it, you want to make it louder.

this is a really nice 2018 reissue of this 1985 saxon lp reissued on both lp and cd digi pack, this vinyl edition has been reissued as a gate fold sleeve and is pressed on green & yellow swirl vinyl, the printed inner sleeve has great photos from this era regarding promo stuff & 45s released for this record......................this is the nicest vinyl reissue of this lp i have ever seen since its original release back in 1985.....

this is a rather rare japan pressing of saxons 1985 opus innocence is no excuse, not to many of these where pressed in japan back in 85 as saxon where not popular there, this has a typical thin mid 80s obi strip and a standard japan insert, not to easy to find this one like the earlier titles as japan pressings of the saxon records from 1979 through 1982.................

any reissue from 2009 onwards contains as a bonus a version of "back on the streets" entitled "club mix". actually the song present on cd is the "extended version" not the "club mix". the original club mix still unreleased on cd.

i bought this way back in 1985 when it came out but this was certainly not one of my favorite saxon sleeves, the record was pretty good but i never really dug this sleeve, anyway nice picture disc..
